Robert Rosenblad

Robert (Bob) Allen Rosenblad, 54, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, of Rochester, died on December 26, 2013 at Seasons Hospice after battling neurological complications over the past few months.Surviving are wife Shelly (Kingsley),son Eric, daughter Kelly, grandson Westan (all of Rochester), brother Jerry (Michele) of Stewartville, sister Joyce (Mark) of Los Angeles, nephews Ben of Minneapolis and Austin of Stewartville, niece Jessica of Stewartville, mother-in-law Evelyn Kingsley of Bluffton, IA, stepmother Penny Rosenblad of Rochester and dogs, Roxie and Jasper.Preceding Bob in death are his parents Milton and Roberta (Fildes) Rosenblad, father-in-law Jerry Kingsley, grandparents, aunts, uncles and two cousins, David and James Kruger. Bob was born November 12, 1959 in Rochester, the middle of three children.After graduating from Rochester John Marshall High School in 1978, Bob did his undergraduate work at St. Olaf College and then received his law degree from William Mitchell Law School in 1985.Bobs first job as an attorney was with Patterson-Restovich Law Office and later with the Suk Law Firm, both in Rochester.In 1990 he was hired as an attorney for Rochester Title, where he was promoted to President in 1999 and continued to work in that role until his death. Always active in the Rochester community, Bob has been on the Board of Trustees at Oakwood Cemetery for over ten years, serving as President for the past five years. Bob loved traveling with Shelly, boating on the Mississippi, socializing, playing cards and going to Twins, Vikings, and Wild games.He will always be remembered for his irreverent sense of humor, good-natured ribbing, spirited story-telling and infectious laugh.He became a grandpa for the first time last February and adored playing with his grandson. A visitation will take place from 5-8pm at Ranfranz Funeral Home (5421 Royal Place NW) on Thursday, January 2nd.Funeral services will be held at Christ Community Church (4450 55th Street NW) in Rochester on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM, with burial service to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
