Robert Nassif

Robert Bob Louie Nassif (76) of Rochester, MN passed away Saturday April 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by family following a recent diagnosis of cancer. He was born June 7, 1940 to Louis G and Emmaline Nassif in St Paul, MN. At age 10 he and his family moved to Rochester MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Thomas Nassif, first wife Judith Nassif and granddaughter Rachel Thompson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Sheryl Nassif - Rochester, MN; Sister Susan (Robert) Milis- Apple Valley, MN; Sister-in-law Elizabeth Nassif - Rochester, MN; Children: Michael G. Nassif- Rochester, MN; Debra A. (Steve) Olson - Austin Texas; Robert T. (Carol) Nassif - Dennison, MN, David (Sue) Gerhartz- Owatonna, MN, Brenda (Kent) Thompson - Perham, MN; Gwen Jacobson- Rochester, MN; Pam (Dan) Carty - Medford, MN; Gregg (Rachel) Gerhartz - Pequot Lakes, MN; Shareen (Scott) Marshall- Minneapolis, MN Nephew Daniel Milis- St Paul, MN; 21 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Bob learned the carpet trade from his father Louie and made a lifelong profession in flooring installation, specializing in commercial flooring installation. He had a contract with Kahler Corporation for 30 years installing carpet in many hotels throughout Rochester and elsewhere. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and the best grandfather and great grandfather. Bob loved camping, travel, card games, visiting the National Eagle Center and spending time with his family and many friends. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, as well as a former member of the Rochester Jaycees and the Elks Lodge. Services for Bob will be Thursday April 27, 2017 Visitation at 10 am, Service at 11 am and lunch to follow. A private family interment will follow lunch.
