Robert "Bob" Latcham, age 92, of Rochester, MN passed away on April 14, 2025, at Samaritan Bethany in Rochester, MN.
Bob was born April 7, 1933, in Cresco, Iowa, the son of Frank and Ruth (Lemon) Latcham. He grew up in Spring Valley, MN and was a 1951 graduate of Spring Valley High School.
On November 21, 1953, he married Marilyn (Tabor) Latcham and they made their home in Rochester, MN. In 1955, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served 18 months in Korea. After his discharge from the Army in 1957, he was employed for 30+ years by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1992 as supervisor of Postal Operations.
Following his retirement, they purchased a house in Punta Gorda, Florida and spent their winters there. He enjoyed boating, golfing, traveling and most of all, being with his family and friends. He was a very talented fix-it-guy and loved old cars. Bob had a sense of humor and was a very endearing grandpa.
Bob is survived by three sons, Thomas (Barb) of Mound, MN, Gregory (Susan) of Phoenix, AZ, Matthew (DeAnn) of Columbia Falls, MT; one daughter, Elizabeth Latcham of Ames, IA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Kapsch and Noreen Lynch.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; parents, Frank and Ruth Latcham; sister and brother-in-law (Jean and Merlin Pipho); brother-in-laws (Mathias Kapsch and John Lynch.)
A Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Christ United Methodist Church (400 5th Ave. SW, Rochester, MN). Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A reception will follow the service at the church.
