Robert Joseph Haroldson

Robert Bob Joseph Haroldson, age 73, of Rochester passed away in his home on December 22, 2014, after a lengthy illness.Bob was born on August 17, 1941, in Mapleton, MN to Ole & Lenore (Griener) Haroldson.He graduated from Mapleton High School and attended some college courses.Bob served in the US Army from 1964-1966, and served in Vietnam from 1965-1966.He enjoyed rides in his convertible, stock car racing, watching his grandson play sports and his granddaughters brought him much joy.Bob drove school bus for First Student for more than 35 years, and especially enjoyed driving the kindergartners and athletic teams.Many nights were spent watching the teams compete.He married Nancy L. Wilkening on May 2, 1965, in Mapleton.Survivors along with his wife, Nancy, of Rochester, are his daughters, Wendy Haroldson (Missy) of Lakeville, Heidi Haroldson of Rochester, and Amanda Aarsvold (David) of Owatonna and three grandchildren: Tyler Haroldson and Linden & Ellen Aarsvold.He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kelly, and a brother, Victor.Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 27th, 2014, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church - 1212 12th Ave NW, Rochester, with visitation 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow the service.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Brains Together for a Cure, Mayo Hospice or Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
