Robert J. Miland

MILAND Robert John Miland, 76, of Rochester, passed away On Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at The Mayo Clinic, St. Marys Campus. Robert was born March 26, 1940 in Spring Valley, MN to Ray and Agnes (Ingelbeck) Miland. Robert worked for Vagts Hauling Service for many years and then went on and worked for a janitorial company for numerous years. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Rochester Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Robert loved cookouts, picnics and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his sisters, Louise Sparks of Rochester, Mary Riehm of Rochester; brother, Wayne (Gloria) Miland of Eyota and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his nephew, Robert Elzy and his parents. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Msg. Robert Meyer will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
