Robert E. Harrison

ST. CLOUD -Robert E. Harrison, 83, died on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Cherrywood Advanced Living in St. Cloud. Robert was born in Strawberry Point, IA on February 3, 1930 to Earl and Bessie (Livzey) Harrison.He graduated from St. Charles High in 1948.Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.He received the Combat Infantry Badge 1st Award, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal.Robert worked as a salesman at Coca Cola, Wonderbread, Old Dutch, and Prudential.He enjoyed family outings, especially boating and waterskiing. Robert is survived by five children, David (Tricia) Harrison, of Colorado Springs, CO, Susan (Jeff) Flemming, of Sartell, MN, Tom Harrison, of Rochester, Jim (Cindy) Harrison, of Plainview, MN, and Jan (Dan) Cotroneo, of Woodbury, MN; nine grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, AJ, Amanda, Andrew, Niki, Luke, Courtney, and Tyler; and a sister. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lois and Arlene. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home.Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Interment will take place at Fort Snelling at a later date. Memorials can be directed to Robert's family.
