Robert "Bob" M. Church

Robert Bob M. Church, age 64, of Rochester, MN died on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester. He was born on July 18, 1950, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, to Robert W. and Lillian E. (Howe) Church. Bob graduated from Fridley Senior High School and Rochester Community and Technical College. On October 24, 1987, he married Ruth Colclough in Minneapolis. Bob worked at Control Data as a computer programmer. In 1989, the couple moved to Rochester where he continued working as a computer programmer until retiring to stay at home with his children. Bob enjoyed music, photography, and sports, especially tennis. He was a member of the Rochester Covenant Church where he was active in the church's band, Hundredfold. Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth of Rochester; daughters, Courtney (Taylor) Saxena of Dallas Center, IA, Stephanie Church of Roseville, and Hannah Church of Rochester, MN; and sister, Carolyn Struck of Burnsville. Bob was preceded in death by his infant son; parents and grandparents. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Rochester Covenant Church with Pastor Herb Frost officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Rochester Covenant Church.
