ROCHESTER, MINN:Robert A. Bob Kothenbeutel, 76, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Regina Hospital, Grace Unit, Hastings, MN. Robert Allen Kothenbeutel was born March 3, 1939 to John and Ethel (Poole) Kothenbeutel in Rochester, MN.Bob graduated from Rochester High School in 1957. He married Karen I. Simso on November 24, 1957 in Rochester, MN. Bob worked atI.B.M. for 32 years. The couple retired to Hayward, WI and wintered in San Rayburn, TX. The couple returned to Rochester in 2005. Bob was a life long golfer, coached youth football and hockey, enjoyed boating on the river and was a charter member of the 14th Avenue Navy. Bob's family would like to thank all of our life long friends, neighbors and coworkers for their kindness and support. Bob is survived by his wife Karen Kothenbeutel, Rochester, MN; his sons, Mike (Janet) Kothenbeutel, Rochester, MN, Tom (Shari) Kothenbeutel, Zumbrota, MN and John (LeeAnn) Kothenbeutel, Sauk Rapids, MN; sister in law, DeeDee Kothenbeutel of Louisville, CO; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ron and a nephew Craig. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
