Rita A. Oslund

Rita H. Ann Oslund, 88, of Rochester died Sunday at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary's Campus. Rita was born September 12, 1930 in Binghamton, NY to William and Alice (Wade) Hayes. She graduated high school in New York and also attended business school there. She was united in marriage to Douglas Oslund on June 19, 1955 in Binghamton. The couple moved to Rochester in 1958 and together raised six children. Rita worked at Methodist Hospital as an administrative assistant for fourteen years. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, travelling, and spending time with family. Rita is survived by her children Marlene Oslund of Rochester, Mark (Suzy) Oslund of Anchorage, AK, Marleeta (Guy) Mertz of Longmont, CO, Nadine Oslund of Rochester, Matt (Stephanie) Oslund of Greenville, South Carolina, and Mitchael (Kathy) Oslund of Holmen, WI. She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Douglas in 2009. There will be no services held at this time.
