Richard T. Goode

ROCHESTER, MINN: Richard Thomas Goode, 79, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 after a 2 year battle with throat cancer. Richard was born February 2, 1932 in Madelia, MN to George and Evelyn Goode. He grew up in Madelia, MN and graduated from Madelia High School in 1950. Richard proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1951 until 1954. He married Mary Jane Williams, from Lake Crystal, MN on June 6, 1954 and they had 5 children. Richard was in the farm implement business for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, high school football games and being with family and friends. He loved to watch his grandchildren in their sports and other school activities. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane; children, Nancy (Todd) Clarey, Kathryn (Gary) Lile, Michael (Ginny) Goode, Thomas (Kate) Goode, David (Kay) Goode; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and his grandson, Corey Chad Robinson. A memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of service.
