Richard Holloway

Funeral services for Richard "Butch" M. Holloway, 91, of Rochester will be at 1:00pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Richard Melvin Holloway was born on September 10, 1925 in Rochester to Melvin and Myrtle (Christenson) Holloway. He died on September 3, 2017 at St. Marys Hospital. Richard attended Rochester Schools. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Phyllis Ranfranz on October 21, 1949. Richard worked for different construction companies as a plasterer. He also worked for Mann Theaters as a projectionist and ran a spotlight for concerts at the Mayo Civic Auditorium. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, riding motorcycle, boating and cooking. Richard was involved with the Rochester Masonic Lodge for 50 years. Survivors include his daughter Terry (Tim) Sanchez of Byron; his son, Larry (Teresa) Holloway of Rochester and three grandchildren, Garrett, Drew and Johanna Holloway.
