Richard Albert "Dick" Trisko, 70, of Rochester MN spent the last hours of his life surrounded by his wife and children, as they sang him into a peaceful passing, on June 10th, 2018, as the midnight hour was close in hand To describe all that Dick was and all that he meant would be futile. He was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, musician, actor, radio personality, Vietnam vet, and a friend. And beyond all those titles, he was a deeply kind man who put others first every time, who loved his family so deeply we are all changed for the better, and who was quick with a laugh, a smile, a compliment, and a song. He had a true gift with music that created a soundtrack to our lives and that of many. Dick was born in Alexandria, MN on September, 19th, 1947 and raised on a dairy farm in Osakis, MN by the late Albert and Delores Trisko. He served his country as a Navy Corpsman and is a Vietnam Veteran. He traveled the country as a professional musician and worked in radio broadcasting for over 25 years. He married the love of his life and best friend in 1981. He and his family settled in Rochester, MN in 1993 where he lived the rest of his life, most recently as school bus driver for Rochester Public Schools. He is survived by his wife Diane Trisko, children, Daughters Kimberly Pomeroy Reid and Tammi (Alexandre) Goethe, Sons Jay (Kaelyn) Trisko and Lane (Erin) Dwyer Trisko, grandchildren, Dillon, Cameron, Alex, Michaela, Xavier, Bella, Oliver, Sullivan, Hannah and Seth, siblings, Jan Roberts, Tom (Brenda) Trisko, and Jane (John) Chagnon, along with so many others who were blessed to call him friend and family. A visitation will be held this Tuesday, June 12th, 2018, from 5pm-7pm at Gloria Dei Church. A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held this Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 from 3pm-4pm at Gloria Dei Church, located at 1212 12th Ave, Rochester, MN 55901.
