Rena Lorraine Berndt

ROCHESTER:Funeral services for Rena (Lorraine) Berndt, 88, of Rochester, MN will be at 2:00pm on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Rena Lorraine Arnold was born on May 23, 1925 in Byron, MN to Fred and Elva (Searles) Arnold.She died on August 25, 2013 at her home. Rena attended Byron Schools and married John R. Berndt Jr. on July 9, 1944 in Byron and lived in the Rochester area most of her life.She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and had been chairman of many Clubs.She was a charter member of the Eagle's Auxilary, a member of the American Legion and was an Avon rep for many years. Survivors include her son, Scott (Michele) Berndt of Rochester, MN and her daughter, Suzanne (Steven) Klennart of Oronoco, MN; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and two daughters. Memorials can be directed to Paws and Claws Humane Society or donor's choice.
