Ralph "Ron" Ronald Monson

Ron was born October 21, 1935 in Saint Paul MN, graduated from Rochester High School in 1953, and lived the rest of his life in Rochester. He died onAugust 3, 2017at the age of 81 from pancreatic cancer. He worked full time as an electrician, but his passion was his apple orchard for 25 years, and after selling the orchard, vegetable gardening. He is survived by his brother Dennis, his companion, Jane Smith, his first wife, Bonnie Monson, his three sons, Bruce (Sara), Scott (Crystal), and Danny (Christine); and grandchildren, Alyssa, Katelyn, Ben, and Reed, and his great-grandchild, Madelyn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Estella, his brother, Bruce, and his grandchild, Leo. His second wife, Marilyn Monson, died in 2012 at the age of 63 from melanoma. Jane Smith and Ron dated in high school and were reunited for the last five years of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society.
