Phyllis L. Wise

ORONOCO -Phyllis L. Wise, 96, formerly of Rochester, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Elim Care Center in Princeton, MN. Phyllis was born in Oronoco on May 2, 1918 to August and Meta (Ihrke) Koenig.She married Frank Wise on June 30, 1941 in Oronoco, MN. Frank died on April 28, 2014. Together they farmed on her parent's home farm in the Oronoco area. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts, traveling with Frank and gardening. Phyllis is survived by her son, Randy (Martha) Wise, of Princeton, MN; three grandchildren, Derek (Kristin) Wise, Adam (Katie) Wise, and Lacey (Eric) Wise Warnement; six great grandchildren, Liv, Lis, Vincent, Rosalie, Dylan, and Isaac; a sister, Joan Tiedemann, of Pine Island, MN; a sister-in-law, Edna Hineman, of Lime Ridge, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; two sisters, Esther Prokasky and May Whipple; and sister-in-law, Eleanor House. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 45 1st Avenue NW, in Oronoco with Rev. Ben Kempfert officiating.Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church.Burial will take place at Oronoco Cemetery.
