Phyllis Jean (Foyen) Reynolds passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the age of 85 at St. Marys hospital with her family by her side. She was born on December 3, 1929 in Duluth, MN to Walter and Doris Foyen.She was raised in Duluth, MN in a loving home with her sister, Maxine.Phyllis graduated from Brainerd High School and attended beautician school where she met the love of her life, Wayne Reynolds. They were married in Duluth, MN on May 23, 1948 and were happily married for 57 years.They started their lives together in Grand Rapids and in 1959 they moved to Rochester, MN.They lovingly raised their four children; Randy, Cindy, Ted and Bob and they were actively involved in their activities and lives. Phyllis worked as a beautician for many years and then in the meat department at Erdmans Grocery Store for 20 years.If you ever walked into the store you probably met Phyllis - she loved to chat with the customers.She was a long time member of the American Legion and spent many happy times there playing cribbage and laughing with friends.Phyllis loved life and a good joke.She was a loving and generous person and her love of life and laughter was the best gift that she constantly shared with others. Phyllis was blessed with 16 grandchildren; Kalai, Drew, Reed, Shelina, Angie, Sam, Kyle, Heidi, Robbie, Jake, Matt, Joey, Rebecca, John, Luke and Matt.She also was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren. She was always involved in their lives, attended many events, and Grandma Phyllis never missed a birthday! Phyllis is survived by her children and family: Randy (Sheri) of Rochester, Cindy (Russ) Larson of Eden Prairie, Ted (Cathy) of Austin, TX, Bob (Sandy) of Rochester, Nood (Pete) Lawler of Savannah, GA , sister Maxine Anttila (Bob) of San Diego and sister-in-law Bonnie Wiskow (Ken) of St Charles, MN.She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her infant son, Danny, and her parents Walter and Doris Foyen and in-laws Ted and Sadie Reynolds. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Weincouff officiating.Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service Saturday at Ranfranz and Vine.Burial will be in Grand Rapids, MN at a later date. Blessed be her memory she will be missed by all.
