Funeral services for Phyllis J. Cocker, 78, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Phyllis Joan Williams was born on May 12, 1936 in Rochester, MN to Ralph and Anne (Larsen) Williams.She died on July 5, 2014 in her home after living with ovarian cancer for 6 years. Phyllis graduated from Rochester High School and married Grant W. Cocker on September 11, 1955 in Rochester. She worked as a school crossing guard for over 40 years always enjoying both being outdoors and being with kids.She enjoyed flower gardening, garage sales, baking (especially cut out Christmas cookies and pie crusts), walking and watching for Bluebirds.In addition to family, Phyllis had many close friends and enjoyed trips to friends cabins and traveling. Survivors include her daughter, Judy (Tony) Chihak of Rochester, MN and her son, Mark (Cathy) Cocker of Brooklyn Center, MN; four grandchildren, Bryce Poch, Gina (Ira) Newell and Jenny and Brian Cocker; two great grandchildren, Aria and Reid Newell and one brother, Mert Williams of Rochester, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse, Grant in May of 2014. Memorials can be directed to Seasons Hospice or the Eagle's Cancer Telethon.
