Holger, Phyllis B. (Johnson), 96, passed away July 24, 2014 at Good Samaritan Ambassador in Minneapolis.A memorial service will be held at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home in Rochester on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 with visitation one hour preceding the service. Phyllis was born on May 23, 1918 in Preston, MN and married Herb Holger in 1939.They raised their three girls, Sharon, Gaylene and Bonnie in St. Paul and in1985, moved to Mantorville.In 2003 they moved to Shorewood Independent Living where Herb died in 2010.A year later she moved to Minneapolis to be close to immediate family. Phyllis was a homemaker and held various clerk typist positions throughout the years following high school graduation in Preston.She was particularly fond of their camping and square dancing years in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Her pleasant smile and presence will be sorely missed. She is survived by two daughters Gaye Passo (Dave) of Idaho and Bonnie Holger of Minneapolis; son-in-law Jay Brown (Andover); 6 grandchildren: Mitch Brown (Lisa), Karie Brown Cahlik, Dale Brown (Bonny), Dawn Passo Smith, Allison Passo Schmuck (Allen), Andrea Passo Adee (Pete) and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mamie Johnson, husband Herb, daughter Sharon, grandson Keith, great-grandson Courtney and sister, Elnor Andrist. Burial for both Phyllis and Herb Holger following the service and fellowship will take place at Greenfield Cemetery in Mantorville. Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic Department of Anatomy.
