Paula Anne Jacobson

Paula Anne Jacobson (Larson), 90 formerly of Spring Valley, MN and Rochester, MN passed away in Lakeville, MN on April 30, 2014. Paula was born in Spring Valley, MN on April 21, 1924 to Paul and Mary Larson.She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1943 and received an X-ray technician degree from Fairview Hospital in 1944.She married Merle E. Jacobson on October 27, 1946.They resided in the Spring Valley area for many years where they farmed, owned the Five Js campground and started Jacobson Plumbing and Heating.From 1963 1981, Paula also worked at the Rochester State Hospital as an X-ray tech.In 1994, Paula and Merle retired and moved to Rochester, MN.Paula was an avid gardener, a great baker (her family will miss her famous rolls) and loved to play bridge.She also loved to share these hobbies with her children and grandchildren. Paula is survived by her three sons, Jeremy Sr. (Susan) of Kasson, MN, Jeffrey (Teresa) of Wabasha, MN and Jamie (Denise) of Lakeville, MN.She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Jodi, Jenny (Travis), Jeremy Jr. (Tina), Jason (Trisha), Joy, Jazmin and Noel; great grandchildren, Bradyn, Tyler and Jada.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to funeral service.Burial will take place at Spring Valley Cemetery.
