Paul Don Erdman, 58, of Rochester died Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Seasons Hospice House in Rochester. He had been diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer on October 6, 2015. His funeral will be Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester. There will be no reviewal. Paul Don was born in Rochester on January 18, 1957, to Don and Jean (Reynolds) Erdman. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1975. On July 22,1978, Paul Don married Kathy Hovland at Trinity Lutheran Church, and they made their home in Rochester. On February 16, 1990, their son Michael Paul was born, completing their family. On August 28, 1995, Paul started working as an electrician for Kuntz Electric, where he was still employed at the time of his diagnosis. Paul was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher and a trustee. He had a passion for pipe organs, and he found ways to be involved in tuning and rebuildingorgans around the area. Paul Don is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kathy; his son Mike and wife Marissa; and eight-month-old grandson Grayson. He is also survived by his parents, Don and Jean Erdman of Rochester; sister Pam Erickson (Todd) of Spicer MN; brother Peter Erdman of Eagan MN; sister-in-law Geri Quesnell (Mike) of Blaine MN; nephews Tony Kapinos (wife Lisa Neu) of St. Cloud MN, and Peter Kapinos (Nicole) of St. Louis Park MN; niece Abbey Combs of Willmar MN; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by mother-in-law Betty Bierbaum; and his grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church-Legacy Fund, a project in which Paul was very involved.
