Patricia Yvonne Olson

Patricia Y. Olson, 79, of Rochester, MN died August 31, 2016 at Saint Marys Hospital. Patricia Yvonne Crew was born November 9, 1936 to Dale and Winifred (Buttruff) Crew in Minneapolis , MN. Patricia married Peter Homerick in 1955, they later divorced. In 1968, she married Richard Olson. She enjoyed fishing, scrabble, camping, football, playing cards, being outdoors, grilling out, family gatherings, music, gardening, reading and saving every furry, feathered or scaled friend she may come across; she was a real life Dr. Doolittle. Patricia is survived by her sister, Sandra (Greg) Leiferman; her children, Terri (Dennis) Farlow, Tami (Bill) Quandt, Todd Homerick, Russel (Ginger) Olson, Robert Olson, Rodney Olson and Randy (Tina) Olson; grandchildren, Courtney Farlow, Paige (Cory) Farlow, Devin (Ashley) Farlow, Samuel (Brooke) Spaid, Stephanie (Norman) Payne, Joshua (Chelsea) Spaid, Briana (Mike) Homerick, Tyler Homerick, Sarah (Jason) Kotrba, Teresa (Carey) Sannes, Megan (Jared) Wang, Brandon, Jeffrey (Tracey), Kenny (Mary), Scott (Becky), and Mike Olson; great grandchildren, Savannah (Cory), Nolan, Ethan, Madison, Noah, Kinley, Jordan, Kaden, Cody, Blake, Lane, Cole, Avery, Luke, Lucas, Robbie, John, Alyssa, Sam, Will, and Aubrey; an unborn great grandson; great, great grandchildren, Ava and Gavin; and her two cats, Peanut and Windsor. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Olson, mother and father, sister Diane, great grand daughter Emaleigh and daughter-in-law Diane. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Paws and Claws.
