Patricia "Pat" J. Bowlus

Patricia Jane Bowlus Pat, 74, of Oronoco, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Keystone Senior Living in Roseville, MN. Pat was born September 17, 1939 in Austin, MN to Charles and Alice (Cartin) Pelinka. She was a graduate of Blooming Prairie High School and Johnson's Academy of Beauty Culture. On October 29, 1962, Pat married Nick Bowlus at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester. She loved spending time with her granddaughters, Sofi and Sara. Pat was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling and playing golf in her weekly golf league. Pat and Nick owned a beauty salon for several years and owned and managed the Fisherman's Inn for 13 years. In retirement, she worked as a hostess at Baker's Square in Rochester for over 20 years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Pat is survived by her son, Michael (Angela) Bowlus of Shoreview, MN and by 2 granddaughters, Sofi and Sara. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick and by an infant daughter, Susan. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 25, 2013 at Pax Christi Catholic Church 4135 18th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church. Celebrant will be Father Donald P. Schmitz with interment at St. Columbanus Catholic Cemetery in Blooming Prairie.
