Patricia Leona Boyd-Clappier, 66 of Rochester, passed away Sunday November 24th 2019 after a nine year battle with dementia. Patty was born February 11th 1953 to Frank and Shirley Boyd. She attended Huntington Beach High School. Patty met and married Ken Overton in December 1972, they had three children together and later divorced. She was lucky enough to find love again and married Craig Clappier in August 1996. They stayed together until his passing in 2009. Patty stayed very young at heart throughout her life. Some of her favorite pastimes included, fishing, listening to old country music and playing her Nintendo. Most often you could find Patty at Blockbuster where she'd load up on games to play for the weekend, Blockbuster loved her. She loved Mexican food, which inspired her famous guacamole dip and homemade chips. Christmas was her favorite time of year, she loved to spoil all those around her. Patty will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Patty is survived by her children, Steve (Devra) Overton of Rochester, Maggie (Greg) Knezevich of Rochester; grandchildren, Devon Holtegaard, Justine Cash, Riley Overton and Gaborik Overton; mother, Shirley Brandt of Henderson NV; Siblings, Donald (Julie) Boyd of Laguna Niguel CA, Jeffrey (Grace) Boyd of Henderson CA, Michael (Judy) Boyd of Huntington Beach CA and Michelle Boyd of Huntington Beach CA. Patty was proceeded in death by her husband Craig Clappier, son Rusty Overton and Father Frank Boyd. A celebration of Patty's life will be held on Sunday December 15th from 11am-2pm at the American Legion in Rochester MN. 915 21st Ave SE.
