Orma Jeanne Cocker

Orma Jean J. Cocker, 89, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville. Jean was born in Emmetsburg, IA on November 25, 1924 to Howard and Sara (Randall) Head.She lived in the Rochester area most of her life.Jean married Clifford Cocker on November 25, 1946 in Douglas.They were members of Viola Bible Church in Viola, MN.Jean enjoyed embroidery, singing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Jean is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clifford; three sons, Ken (Barb) Cocker, of Baudette, MN, Paul (Audrey) Cocker, of Lake City, MN, and Harvey (Karen) Cocker, of Rochester; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Lyle, Cecil, Marvin, Howard, and Arden; and two sisters, Mary Porter and Olive Andrist. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home with Reverend Les Stevens officiating.Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Interment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be directed to a charity of your choice.The family would like to give special thanks to the staffs of St. Marys Hospital, Olmsted Medical Group, Cottagewood Senior Living, and Stewartville Care Center.
