Olive Lorraine Bloom

Olive L. Bloom, 93, passed away July 20, 2011 at Fairview Care Center where she lived for the past 18 months.She was formerly of Independence, MO and moved to Rochester, MN in 2000. Olive was born August 4, 1917 in Muncie, Kansas to Ollie and Carrie Barber.She married Gail H. Bloom September 3, 1938.Olive was a homemaker, loved flowers and ceramics. She is survived by her children, Loretta (Ed) Warner, Quartzite, AZ, Carolyn (Harold) Long, Mantorville, MN, Robert (Dianne) Bloom, Birmingham, AL, and William (Kathleen) Bloom, Tehachapi, CA; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Marcella Viene. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25 at St.Marks Catholic Church, Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contribution to a charity of choice.
