Norman Julius Tostenson

ROCHESTER:Norman J. Tostenson, 90, of Rochester, MN passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at Golden Living Center East. Norman Julius Tostenson was born April 4, 1924 in Canton Township in Fillmore County, MN to Julius and Lilly (Fensted) Tostenson.Norman was raised on the family farm and attended Canton Consolidated School.Norman farmed the familys land until he moved to Rochester in 1948 and worked at Colonial Hospital.He married Hazel S. Thorsness June 8, 1953 in Rochester.Hazel passed away on September 13, 1974.Norman did lawn care and homecare for many of the Mayos doctors until 1978 and then went to work for Mayo Clinic in the custodial department retiring in 1994. Norman was a member at Zumbro Lutheran Church. Norman is survived by his son, Wayne of Rochester and one grandson, Jeff of Rochester.He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Hazel.
