Oronoco-Funeral Services for longtime area farmer, Norman A. Kuhlmann, 86 will be held on SaturdayMarch 24th at 1:30 P.M. At Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2703 9th Ave. N.W. Rochester, Mn. With Rev. Steve Schauder officiating.Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home will be on Friday, March 23from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., And then on Saturday at the church from 12:30 P.M. Until the time of service.Memorials are requested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Norman passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Norman Arnold Kuhlmann was born in Wabasha County March 4, 1926 to Elmer Kuhlmann Sr. and Alvina (Staege) Kuhlmann.He married Shirley Mae Stoltz on September 25th 1949 in Plainview Mn.The couple farmed in the Elgin area, later moving to Pine Island and then to Oronoco where they continued to farm.Shirley was employed at Whiting Flowers. Shirley died August 28, 1991. Normans dream was to have a registered herd of Holstein Cows. He fulfilled his dream and then some.He loved to watch Birds and spend time in the woods.He liked to hunt deer and coon, pick wild blackberries, and see spring flowers.He made wine and a special desert called Rubarb Windsor. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, taught 4-H and he and his wife were members of the Rochester Flower and Garden Club and Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He liked to Ride his horse Rex and he had a special place in his heart for dogs. He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by Sons; Mark Kuhlmann (Nancy) their children Mark, Larame, and Katrina and Lynn Kuhlmann of Oronoco, MN. And Daughter Debbie Seifert (Louis Jr.) and their children, Andrea, Louis III, Timothy and Great Grandchildren Trinity, Louis IV, Paige, and Owen and Step Great grandchildren, Gabe and Grace Halleland. A Sister; Alta Arman (Ali) of Silver Spring, Maryland.He was preceded by his wife; Shirley, brothers; Elmer and Orville, a sister Lucille and a grand daughter Erica.
