Nicholas Bryan Roecker

Nicholas Bryan Roecker, age 19 passed away January 6, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Born September 30, 1994 in Denver, Colorado to Bryan & Mary (Schaars) Roecker.Nick was a freshman attending the University of Minnesota -Duluth campus.He was a 2013 graduate of Lourdes High School.He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and attended grade school at Holy Spirit.He enjoyed camping, canoeing with family and friends at the Boundary Waters, loved fishing for salmon and halibut in Alaska, enjoyed nature and being outdoors.He had started his own firewood business and cut and sold fire wood the past three years.He enjoyed spending time with his cousins and he was a great big brother spending time with his younger sister and brother playing video games and doing outdoor things.Surviving him are his parents Bryan & Mary of Pine Island, sister Grace and brother Zachary both at home in Pine Island, his paternal grandparents: Douglas & Audrey Roecker of Eau Claire, WI and his maternal grandmother: Susan Schaars of Mercer, WI.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, and his maternal grandfather, John.A funeral mass will be held 6:30 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home Chapel followed by visitation until 9 PM Saturday.Memorials appreciated to either the Lourdes Tuition Assistance Fund or Holy Spirit Catholic Church and School.
