ROCHESTER, MINN:Myrtle M. Roberts, 92, died at Season's Hospice on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Myrtle Margaret Johnson was born December 6, 1920 to William and Clara (Anderson) Johnson in Napoleon, ND. She graduated from the College of St. Catherine's as a Registered Nurse. Myrtle married Robert O. Roberts on May 16, 1951 in Dothan, AL. Myrtle worked as an R.N. in Rochester and as a homemaker raising her family. She retired in 1974. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening. Myrtle was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church. Myrtle is survived by her three sons, William (Deb) Roberts, Mahtomedi, MN, Thomas (Micki) Roberts, Arvada, CO, and David (Shelly) Roberts, Mazeppa, MN; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and her sister Clara Weigel, Bonney Lake, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, five brothers, and three sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Gregory Heidorn officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church.
