Our fiercely loved Molly Mullan, age 65, passed away on September 11, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus surrounded by her family.
Molly and her beloved twin sister Anne were born on January 15, 1958, in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Molly met the love of her life, Brian Mullan when the two were working at the same hospital in Wellington, New Zealand. They were married July 29th, 1978. Soon after they were married, they moved from New Zealand to Perth, Australia and welcomed two lovely daughters, Becky and Jess and her adored nieces (second daughters) Anne's girls, Bella and Millie. After many happy years in Perth, she and her family moved to Rochester, MN, to start a new adventure (Molly loved a good adventure and meeting new friends).
Above everything, Molly loved her friends and family. She facetimed them every day, multiple times a day, and her house was always open. She was known for being very generous and having a wicked sense of humor. Molly was very artistic and enjoyed many things, including designing personalized jewelry for her loved ones, telling stories, cooking, turning a page, and crocheting. She especially loved watching videos of her grandchildren. When she wasn't watching videos of her family, she loved to watch romantic comedies. Molly and her husband were known as the "Jetsetters" by their friends for their love of travelling (Kona, Hawaii being a favorite destination for the two of them). She and Brian also enjoyed seeing their friends at their weekly Tuesday group dinner.
Molly is survived by Brian, her husband of 46 years; her twin sister Anne (Ken) Dacre; her many types of daughters: Becky Mullan - daughter, Jess Sarver Mullan - daughter, Heather Sarver Mullan - daughter-in-law, Bella (Tommy) Green - niece/daughter and favorite, and Millie (Max) Dacre - niece/daughter; her sister Kate Dobier; her sister Marilyn Fuldseth; her brother Graeme Fuldseth, her nephews Keith and Peter Fulsdeth; her sister-in-law Marguerite (Tom) Brosnan and niece Julia Brosnan; her sister-in-law Rose (Mike) O'Neill, her sister-in-law Daphne (John) Wick and her nieces Meg Barnett and Bonnie Barnett; and her most adored family of all, her grandbabies Tabitha (7), Esme (4), George (2), Henry Lincoln (3 weeks).
Molly shined so bright, that you too shined being in her aura. The world has lost one of its most fabulous angels, but the sky has gained the most sparkly of stars.
