Mogib Habib Salama, 65, was called by the Lord on Saturday, October 24, surrounded by family and friends around 2:20 pm at St. Marys Hospital. Mogib Salama was born to Habib and Amalia Saleeb on January 10, 1950 in Khartoum, Sudan as the seventh of eight children. He graduated from dental school in Yugoslavia in 1972, later establishing several successful dental clinics throughout Khartoum. He was wedded to his partner in life Seham Asaad on January 10, 1989, later fathering two wonderful children. He relocated to Minnesota in 1992, where hed practiced business in multiple forms, including opening a small grocery store, Grocery Land, and renovating multiple rental properties in Rochester. Committed to each fishing and hunting season from early childhood until adulthood, Mogib enjoyed frequent fishing trips with his family and hunting trips with his close friends. He also loved more than anything to host and gather in genuine camaraderie over game roasts and barbecues. Mogib was a devout Orthodox Christian throughout his entire life, dedicating his life to his faith and his family. His compassionate demeanor and playful sense of humor resonated with all who enjoyed his presence. Mogib is survived by his wife, Seham, his children, Habib and Mariam, his brother Moneeb, and his sisters Nemaat and Fawzia. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Anayat (Zezaf), Suhir, and Awatif, and his brother Mohib. Visitation will be held at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN 55901) on Monday, October 26 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Holy Anargyroi Orthodox Church (703 W Center St, Rochester, MN 55902) on Tuesday, October 27 at 12:00 pm.
