Miriam "Mim" Waterman

Miriam Lynd Waterman "Mim", 98, of Rochester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Miriam was born June 4, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Ethel (Pennoyer) Howland. She was a graduate of Forest Hills High School. Mim was a member of the Northport Methodist Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to read, spending time on the sailboat, at the beach but above all, Mim loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Twins and Vikings. She was a classy, sweet soul that radiated happiness. Mim loved to entertain friends, was generous, patient and was always forward thinking. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mim is survived by her children, Lynn Skinner of Rochester, Wendy (Roger) Urce of Long Island, NY, Roy (Kara) Waterman of Rochester; grandchildren, Christine Dick, Jennifer Eggler, Alex Waterman and Laura Schor and four great-grandchildren. Miriam was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers and by a great-grandson. A memorial service to celebrate Mim's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Calvary Episcopal Church, 111 3rd Ave. SW, Rochester, MN. Burial will be held at a later date at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, NY.
