Minorum Hong, 18, of Rochester, MN, died Sunday, January 15th, 2012. Minorum was born on May 12th, 1993 in Rochester, MN to Khoeurn Hong and Suoth Hong. He attended school at Jefferson Elementary, Riverside Elementary, Kellogg Middle School and was currently a student at Golden Hills ALC. He enjoyed listening to music with his favorite artists being Eazy-E and Tupac. He loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting with his dad and also loved eating his moms cooking with his favorite dish being stir-fried noodles and yao hawn. His favorite color was blue and he always wore Duke clothing. He was looking forward to becoming a first-time father and was enjoying all of the activities that come with being a father-to-be. To his family and close friends, Minorum was a big teddy bear and wore his heart on his sleeve. Minorum was a very giving person and would go out of his way for others, even if it meant that he had to go without. He will be greatly missed by all those who truly loved him. He is survived by his parents, Khoeurn Hong and Suoth Hong (Sarath Toeur); his maternal grandfather, Phath Neang; sisters, Linda Hong (Matthew Phetsomphou) and Lucinda Hong (Sophorn Khoun), April Neang, Linda Toeur, Lucinda Tankhamvang; and brother, Mitchai Tankhamvang, girlfriend Stacy Parker and their unborn child; nephews and nieces, Niccolai, Corleone, Saevian, Luciano, Bella, Cleon, Mattilyn and Aria; and uncles, Sem (Angela) Hong and Seng (Sreyden) Hong; and cousins,Elizabeth (Eva), Semuel, Sera, Yesenia and Shadow. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Soun Som and Yoeung Hong; and maternal grandmother, Meth Chea; aunt, Prasat Hong; and step-father, Rick Khy. A celebration of his life will be held at 12pm, Friday, January 20th, 2012 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, MN with visitation starting at 10am.
