Mildred Pieper

Funeral services for Mildred G. Pieper, 98, of Rochester will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Austin. Mildred Genevieve Ulwelling was born on November 20, 1920, in Rose Creek to Philip and Mary (Langer) Ulwelling. She died on June 29, 2019, at the Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island. Mildred graduated from Rose Creek High School. On April 22, 1944, she married Jerry Pieper in Rose Creek. In 2000, she moved to Rochester. She enjoyed cooking, baking, flowers, gardening, camping and playing cards. She was a long-time caregiver for her daughter, Linda who passed away in 2016. Survivors include her son, Mike (Renee) Pieper of Rochester and daughter, Carol Forrester of Austin; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Lorna Ulwelling of Litchfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, three brothers, one sister and a son-in-law. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pine Haven Care Center and Seasons Hospice for their wonderful care of Mildred. She will be dearly missed.
