ROCHESTER -Mildred C. Heldt, 94, died on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Samaritan Bethany in Rochester. Mildred was born in Jacksonville on May 25, 1920 to John and Lydia (Holst) Vosler.She attended rural Jacksonville School.Mildred married Harry Heldt and later divorced.Harry died in July 1975.Mildred lived in Rochester since 1967 and worked many years at Holiday Inn South. Mildred was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.She enjoyed playing cards, baking, and reading the daily paper until she went blind.She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Mildred is survived by five children; Marlene Blunt, of Dassel, MN, Steve (Karen) Heldt, of Rochester, Phyllis Adler, of Rochester, Josie (Ron) Sonnenberg, of Elgin, MN, and Julie (Rick) Harris, of Petaluma, CA; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Della Kirtz, of Red Wing, MN. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia; a brother, Dale Vosler; a sister, Irene Banick; a granddaughter, Debra Andrist; a grandson, Edward Andrist; and two sons in law, Howard Andrist and Ardelle Adler. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 869 7th Ave. SE, with Rev. Dr. James Heining officiating.Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at church.Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
