Michael Hall

Michael W. Hall, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus in Rochester, MN.

Michael Walter Hall was born on December 17, 1991, in Iowa Falls, IA. He attended Radcliffe grade school and graduated from Ames High School. After graduation, he went on to complete the Carpentry Program at Job Corp. Michael spent part of his career working as a production worker at an ethanol plant. Aside from work, he served as Assistant Scout Master.

Michael was a nature enthusiast. He especially loved learning about edible plants, and even made his own tea, wine, and mead by harvesting his own ingredients. He loved to be outdoors camping and fishing, as well as gaming, reading and all kinds of music.

Michael was well loved by his clan and will be missed by many. He is survived by his parents, Katherine and Michael McRoberts; siblings, Melissa (Mark) Mason, Keith (Angela) McRoberts, Lavonne (Keith) McRoberts-Pauley, Sarah McRoberts, Sharon (Michael) Tamashunas and Moses McRoberts; Nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Maya, Essek, Noah, Jacob, Jamie, Jackson and Henry; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at Christ Community Church (5501 George Washington Carver Ave, Ames, IA 50010) with a luncheon to follow.
