Melvin Maasch

EYOTA: Melvin "Mel" Maasch, age 50, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at his residence in Eyota.Melvin "Mel" Otto John Maasch was born February 21, 1960 to Otto and Helen (Behm) Maasch in Rochester, MN. Mel graduated from Mayo High School in 1978 and then went on to graduate from the Rochester Area Vocational Institute. Mel had previously worked for the Marriott Corporation and IBM. Mel was an avid Vikings fan and enjoyed cars. He was a member of the former South Eastern Minnesota Chevy Club and Trinity Lutheran Church. Mel is survived by his sister, Beverly (Roger) Gut of Schofield, WI; many cousins; and his special friends, Charles and Julie Pearson of Eyota, MN, Jeff and Shelly Kruse of Rochester, MN and Dan and Robin Helmbrecht of Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester with the Reverend William Otte officiating.
