Meg Drost

Meg "Margaret" E. Drost, 75, of Rochester, MN died Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her home. Meg was born June 11, 1943 in Lodi, WI, the older of 16 children, to Norman and Hyldred (Brimmer) Neumaier. She graduated from Lodi High School. In 1964, she graduated from The Methodist Kahler School of Nursing and continued her nursing education at Winona State. Meg went to work in Rochester as an RN at Mayo Clinic and Olmsted Medical Hospital while raising her two children. She settled in Peoria, Illinois and returned to retire in Rochester in 2008 after a career in nursing. Meg was active in bowling leagues, a MN Twins fanatic, lover of all genres of music, gardener and incredible cook. She adored her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her loving family. Meg is survived by her daughter, Allison Davies of Rochester; her son, John (and Shannon) Davies of Rochester; four grandchildren, Christopher (Melisa) Goodman, Jacob Davies, Connor and Garin Davies; two step grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Schueller; two great grandchildren, Kyler and Greysen Goodman; 9 brothers, 4 sisters and extended family. Meg was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Philip and Daniel Neumaier. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester.
