ROCHESTER, MINN: Maxine J. Schroeder, 85, passed away peacefully Friday, March 29, 2013 at Golden Living Center West. Maxine was born August 23, 1927 in Chatfield, MN to Arthur and Marnice (Hein) Zank. On June 10, 1950 Maxine married Gilbert Schroeder at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. She worked at Arnolds Supply from 1978 until she retired. Maxine was also a farmer's wife, helping Gilbert out on their family farm. She enjoyed needlepoint, flower gardening, going out to eat and old time polkas. Maxine loved children and enjoyed taking trips to Arizona and California visiting with family. She was a member of Mount Moriah Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. Maxine is survived by her loving husband, Gilbert; sisters, Lois Kuehn of Dexter, MN, Donna (Dale) Wilcox of Duluth, MN; special nephew and niece, Johnny and Bernice Kahn; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Marnice and by a sister, Lorraine. A Funeral service will be held 1:30pm Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Mount Moriah Lutheran Church 923 2nd Ave. NW, Byron, MN. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until time of service at the church.
