Mary Pearson

ROCHESTER -Mary S. Pearson, 87, died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Mary was born in Rochester on April 18, 1926 to James and Nora (Priebe) Starkey.She married Donald Pearson on October 12, 1947 in Rochester.Mary enjoyed reading, wilderness camping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald; three children, James (Gay) Pearson, of Mitchell, SD, Cathy (Bill) Meinhardt, of Rochester, and David (Jean) Pearson, of Rochester; six grandchildren, Jamie (Tom) Gray, of Long Grove, IA, Rick (Cassie) Pearson, of Chamberlain, SD, Nick Meinhardt, of Minneapolis, Kelly Meinhardt, of Rochester, Theresa (Justin) Frosch, of Sun Prairie, WI, and Collin Pearson, of Rochester; five great grandchildren, Brody and Audrey Gray, Cambry Jo Pearson, and Zachary and Ryder Frosch; and a sister, Joan Nelson, of Manchester, NH. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill. A Family Graveside Service will be planned later this spring. Memorials can be directed to Seasons Hospice.
