Mary Lou Mawhinney

ROCHESTER -Mary Lou Mawhinney, 85, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Golden Living Center West in Rochester. Mary Lou was born in Delavan, WI on November 18, 1927 to Hugh and Elizabeth (Minis) Mawhinney.She worked at IRC in Red Wing for 15 years.Mary Lou was a PCA for a friend for almost 30 years.She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and watching TV. Mary Lou is survived by her special families, the Swaggers, the Bowmans, and the Huls; and several nieces and nephews. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Violet Underwood; and seven brothers, John, Francis, Hugh, Vincent, Courtney, Douglas and Donald. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Rochester Assembly of God, 4240 18th Ave. NW with Rev. Bruce Kallies and Rev. Steven Swagger officiating. Per her wishes, Mary Lou donated her body to Mayo for medical study. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Rochester Assembly of God.
