Mary Lois Hegge

Mary L. Hegge, 92, of Rochester passed away Friday, August 30, 2019. Mary was born, June 9, 1927, to Lois and TC Hegge in Faribault MN. She lived in Red Wing and then Rochester where she graduated from Rochester High School. Mary attended RCTC and then began working at the Mayo Clinic. Mary was a dedicated Mayo Clinic employee her entire career, retiring as an administrative assistant in the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Mary loved flowers and gardening, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family. She had a sunny outlook on life and was quick to smile and laugh. Mary is survived by her three nieces, Martha (Tom) Link, Mary Tompkins, Melissa (Angel) Garcia and their children Natalie and Alex, her daughter-in-law Carol Fleischer and two granddaughters Kendra and Kaitlin Fleischer and great grandson Kaid. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jane and brother-in-law Howard Tompkins, and her son Ron Fleischer. A private funeral will be held at a later date. Memorials suggested to the Mayo Clinic.
