Mary "Kathy" Stevens

Mary Kathryn Stevens Kathy, 68, of Rochester, passed away December 9, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital. Kathy was born March 25, 1946 in Rochester to Chester Robert and Viola (White) Tenley. She was a 1964 graduate of John Marshall High School. On March 1, 1963 she married Randy Stevens. Kathy was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. Kathy was currently employed and had been for the past 35 years at Midwest Specialized Transportation, where she had formed many great friendships with her co-workers. She loved spending time entertaining family and friends hosting holiday and birthday celebrations at her home or her camper on the Mississippi River. Kathy enjoyed boat rides, campfires, cooking, shopping, dancing, traveling and in her younger years she was an avid figure skater. She had a real passion for home dcor and loved decorating her home. Above all, Kathy's main love in life was her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and time spent withher close girlfriends. Kathy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Randy; children, Lisa (Troy Stevermer) Stevens of West Saint Paul, Robert (Dawn) Stevens of Rochester; 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Tara) Melmer, Brittney (Brandon) Jahnz, Christopher Alden, Cortney Stevens, Olivia Stevermer; 4 great-grandchildren, Tristan and Riley Melmer, Easton Jahnz, Freya Naseth-Alden and 2 brothers, Cary (Cindy) Tenley and Joel (Edi) Tenley both of Rochester. Kathy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Samantha and by her parents, Chet and Viola Tenley. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2014 at Peace United Church of Christ, 1503 2nd Ave. NE., Rochester. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev.
