Mary Freida Rench Petree, 94, of Rochester, MN., passed away December 28, 2017 at Cottagewood Senior Communities . She was born on September 30, 1923 in Cincinnati, OH to Orville and Lillian (Koch) McCormick. Mary graduated from Withrow High School in Cincinnati and attended classes at The Art Institute of Cincinnati . She married Robert J. Rench and he preceded her in death. On December 26, 1996, she married David Petree in Grand Prairie, TX. Mary worked for Arvads Photographic Studio, Vandervers Department Store in Tulsa, OK and also for SKY Chef in Tulsa. She was a member of the Yale Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Tulsa, OK Pawnee Indian Club as well as Boy Scouts of America and the Presbyterian Synod. Mary volunteered at the Tulsa Recreation Center for the physically limited. She attended bible study at Autumn Ridge Church in Rochester Her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, art (especially drawing, painting and ceramics), camping and canoeing, both archery and shooting, and constructing model airplanes. Mary is survived by her son, Robert Rench (Gail) of Sturgeon Lake, MN, son J. Allen Rench (Dianne) of Rochester, MN.; 8 grandchildren Hunter Rench (Kendra) of Oklahoma City, OK, Nick Rench (Jamie) of Arlington, TX, Jamie Drummond of Cincinnati, OH, Jayna Halverson (Taylor), Quentin and Tate Rench, all of Rochester, Britton Rench (Casey) serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Kelsey Crump (Chris) of Auburn, AL. and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Barbara Rench, brothers, Orville A. McCormick, Jr. and John McCormick, sister Nancy, infant grandchildren Andrew Rench and Masyn Rench, and husbands Robert Rench and David Petree. Private family graveside service will be held at a future date in Cincinnati, OH.
