Martha L. Adler, 94, of Rochester, MN passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Samaritan Bethany. Martha Laura Bornfleth was born November 10, 1921 in Chatfield, MN to Frank and Susie (Bernard) Bornfleth. Martha attended Rochester Lutheran School and Rochester High School. She married Lester Adler on June 1, 1946 in Rochester. Martha worked at JC Penneys Department Store for 25 years. Lester passed away in 1999. Martha was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Circle and Redeemer Lutheran Quilters. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, square dancing and fishing. Martha is survived by her daughters, Judith (Jerome) Bonkoski of Prior Lake, MN and Pamela (Richard) Klipsic of Madison, WI; four grandchildren, Jill (Matthew) Petersen, Jodi Bonkoski, Jason (Katrina) Klipsic and Devon Klipsic; four great grandchildren, Evelyn, Karsten, Mia and Annika; and one sister, Gertrude Votruba of Winona. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; four brothers; and three sisters. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
