Marlin R. Haack

Marlin R. Haack, 86 of Rochester, MN died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Season's Hospice. Marlin Raymond Haack was born March 29, 1932 to Erwin and Olga (Rausch) Haack in Pleasant Valley Township, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Pleasant Valley. He married Harriet Grams at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley on August 8, 1954. The couple remained in Pleasant Valley for a couple of years before moving to Rochester in 1956. Marlin farmed with his father before moving. He worked in carpentry, Buzz Teske Construction and JP Johnson Builders, retiring in 1994. Marlin and Harriet were members of Redeemer Lutheran Church. In 2002 Harriet passed away. Marlin enjoyed boating, woodworking and could fix anything. Marlin is survived by his son, Jerry (LuAnn) Haack of Rochester, MN; three grandchildren, Melissa (Zach) Montgomery of Rochester, MN, Michelle (Jeremy) Braem of Plainview, MN and Mitchell Haack of Rochester, MN; six great grandchildren, Henry, Peyton, William, Elliott, Ashley and Megan; and three sisters, Ruby Seehusen of Stewartville, MN, Audrey Luehmann of Winona, MN and Norma (Dallas) Colvin of Breezy Point, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church (869 7th Avenue SE) with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
