Marlin (Mike) Alfred Cogswell Mike was born on December 12, 1938 in Olmsted County, Minnesota.Mike lost his battle to cancer on March 9, 2014 while surrounded by his mother, wife, children, and grandchildren. He attended school in St. Charles, MN and graduated in Nevada. After graduation, he went to serve in Pearl Harbor in the Navy, where Mike met his first wife Geraldine at a record store where she was working.They were married on August 5, 1960, and had 5 children together. Longtime friends of each family since 1974, Mike and Mary Ellen, each who had lost their spouses, started dating July 2009.They got married July 20, 2013. Mike is survived by his mother, Amy, his wife, Mary Ellen, his children, Ruben (Jenny), Howard, Charmaine (Jack), A.J. (Stacey), Gaylene, Lisa (Mike), and Danny, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, sister Alice, and many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.He is preceded in death by Geraldine Gerry and his father Jake. Anyone who knew Mike was always subjected to his many wisecracks and jokes, and knows how much he liked to make people laugh and smile.Mike loved taking his trips on his Harley and site seeing to many places throughout his travels.He became an avid antiquer which he loved to do with MaryEllen. He also loved to go to Bonnie and ClydeDays in Louisiana. A memorial service will be determined at a later date, when the weather is more favorable, so those who would like to can ride their Harleys or any other bike in honor of Mike.
