Mark Behrens

Mark R. Behrens was born on September 20, 1962, in Rochester, MN. He was the son of Patricia and Eugene Behrens. Mark graduated from Spring Valley High School, class of 1981. Mark continued his education at St. Paul Vo-Tech and joined the trades in Rochester as a Journeyman Painter for Sorenson and Sorenson and Pompeii Painting. He took a great deal of pride in his work.

Mark lived in Rochester and enjoyed collecting antiques, including many trains, loved metal detecting, listening to classic rock music, and mostly loved his classic 1973 Buick Electra. He spent most every Wednesday at the Eagles Car Show, proudly showing off his car. Mark was a lover of all God's creatures, but he was mostly a doting and proud father to several cats. He could never turn away a stray and helped rescue several cats or gave them a loving home of his own. Mark loved to visit with his nieces and nephew and loved family gatherings. He enjoyed sweets and supported many local dining establishments several times per week, never missing dessert. Mark enjoyed connecting with friends on social media. He made friends from all over the world with similar interests and hobbies and loved to have that outlet for his entertainment.

Mark passed away February 2, 2025, at Season Hospice, after a short, but courageous fight with cancer. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Behrens, his sister, Terri Behrens Feldman, and a son. Mark is survived by his mother, Patricia Behrens, his brother, Mike (Yna) Behrens, Thomas (Beth) Behrens, Matt (Sara) Behrens and brother-in-law, John Feldman, nephew, Samuel Behrens, nieces Tiarr (Chris) Dahlen, Danielle (Cody) Nunes, Chelsie (Joey) Behrens, Alexandra (Paul) Morrison, Brianna (Brandon) O'Brien, and Marissa Behrens.

Mark will be missed by many but his spirit and love for all God's creatures will live on.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-8pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Eagles Club, 917 15th Avenue SE, Rochester, MN.
