ROCHESTER, MINN:Marjorie Louise Michaelson, 92, a resident of Stewartville Care Center, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital. Marjorie L. Rosencrance was born October 29, 1919 to Raymond and Jessie (Keville) Rosencrance in Endicott, NY at her grandmother's home. She graduated from Union-Endicott High School and then went on to work at IBM as a key-punch operator. On June 20, 1942, she married Allen R. Michaelson of Kettle River, Minnesota. They were later divorced. She moved to Rochester in the summer of 1956 with IBM. She worked at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology as a proofreader and then as head of the Editorial Department. Upon resigning from the Academy, she moved to Saint Petersburg, FL where she worked for God's News Behind The News as a proofreader. When she returned to Minnesota, she worked in Edina at Modern Medicine Publications. When they were sold, she moved back to Rochester and worked for Olmsted County in Social Services as part of the typing pool. Marjorie was a former member of Rochester Assembly of God and more recently attended Autumn Ridge Church. She loved to knit, read and do crossword puzzles. Above all, Marjorie especially enjoyed spending time with family. Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Polly A. Sparrow, Rochester, MN and Barbara J. (Wayne) Voigt, rural Stewartville, MN; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and a sister.
