Marilou I. Orendorff June 6th 1929 March 20th 2015 Marilou Irene Orendorff, age 85, passed away March 20, 2015 in Rochester, Minnesota with her son Stephen Gillespie and daughter-in-law Christine Gillespie at her side.Marilou was born in Grass Lake, Michigan to John and Luceil (Scott) Tisch.She grew up in Michigan and graduated from Jackson, Michigan High School in 1946.Marilou married Jack Gillespie on October 26, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1996.They had lived in Missouri, Iowa, Michigan and Colorado, making many friends and traveling widely. Marilou even travelled to Malaysia and Thailand.On February 14, 1997 she married Dale Orendorff and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2002.Marilou worked in banks and offices and retired from the Juvenile Court of Jackson County, Michigan.She had moved most recently to Rochester to be near her son Stephen.Marilou loved to draw and paint and taught many little girls to cut out paper dolls.She was very fond of cats, collected tea sets and Depression glass and recently became a fan of the Minnesota Timberwolves.Marilou loved to work crosswords and followed the news closely.She was a very generous person and loved visiting with and telling stories for her many friends and nieces and nephews.Marilou is survived by her sisters Kathryn Miller (Jack) of Munith, Michigan and Dorothy McDonald of Mexico, Missouri, sons Stephen Gillespie (Christine) of Trempealeau, Wisconsin and Scot Gillespie of Bend, Oregon, grandsons Tyler, Ryan, Adam and Aonghus Gillespie, numerous nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren Ross Pavelski, Aisha Pavelski, and Aric Sampson and step-greatgranddaughter Nora Pavelski.She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and five sisters.Memorial services will be held at a later date..
